Time
As a staged performance, the show is 10 ~ 12 minutes long.

Space
The optimum size space for the show is 12m by 12m clear space particularly if on a raised stage. If on a stage, the min. size stage area is 4m by 4m within the above mentioned clear space, ie: minimum crowd distance from the edge of the stage must be at least 4m (ie:- 4m + 4m + 4m = 12m). it is most likely possible to utilize a smaller space if the show is at ground level.
The space must be free of flammable types of materials (non fire retardant curtains and drapes, petrol cans, small children etc). There will most likely be a thin residue of fuel left on the stage surface after the performance, this is impossible to avoid but needs no attention if surface is bare wood or concrete. If surface is smooth, ie: tiled or painted, it may be left slippery and so may need to be cleaned before it is safe for people to walk on. In this case also that the stage is very smooth surface, it will be necessary to cover the surface in fine sawdust (wood dust), this will help to soak up fuel and also provided traction during the performance. Please ensure surface is firm and level.

Safety
The comfort and safety of the audience is obviously the first consideration when staging a show. Space is a critical factor when it comes to performing with fire, the amount of space available will influence the quality of the performance. The above dimensions are what I have found to be a requirement for a smooth show. However the show may be possible in a smaller space but will probably benefit from a larger space being available. There may also be the possibility of utilizing larger/more impressive effects in a larger area, please consult for further details. In the event that I will be flying in, please ensure that adequate fire prevention measures are in place ie : fire extinguishers. Within Australia I can provide fire extinguisher.

Sound
I recommend a sound system of approximately1000 watts per 100 spectators, most desirably with a strong bass content. The music used in the show has a multidimensional aspect to it that can really be appreciated when heard through a quality system that does not necessarily need to be overly loud but is articulate and can be heard clearly.
In my experience, a good sound system can make a big difference.
Music is supplied on cd, sound system also available upon request (Australia Only).

Lighting
Apart from ambient coloured lighting, the performance is enhanced by dark conditions and as such, the show is available for night time programs only. As a general rule, if there is fire on stage, then the lighting can be blacked out, when there is no fire, then to bring in some soft coloured lighting is ideal, blue tends to work well in contrast to the fire. No bright lighting is required apart from for the very end of show.
